University of Helsinki doctoral dissertation form

The University of Helsinki dissertation form is used to integrate the collection and storing of all information on dissertations as well as their abstracts.

The aim is a one-stop-shop for all the information required by different units at the University. The data collected with this form can then be used to produce different kinds of files for various purposes. Currently the information is used by the University of Helsinki Digital Repository HELDA, by the University Communications Department and also for the University calendar of events. The collected information is also made available in DART-Europe E-thesis portal. In addition, the abstracts of the dissertations in medicine are stored in Medic - the Finnish reference database of health sciences produced by Meilahti Campus Library Terkko.

The dissertation form consists of four parts:

  1. The first step is selecting the language (the links below),
  2. then you proceed to submitting the data,
  3. then check it,
  4. and finally save it.

At each step further instructions are provided, and it is also possible to return to earlier stages to correct eventual mistakes.

If you have any problems or other comments, don't hesitate to contact Helsinki University Library (e-thesis@helsinki.fi).

Please, choose the appropriate language to fill the form itself:
