Methods. In this thesis the fulfillment of the basic psychological needs in school context is under review, using the qualitative research methods. To the review material was selected seven (7) articles, which were publicated in reliable issues. The articles were searched in the EbscoHost-database, following systematic inclusion criteria. Results and conclusions. The articles selected for the review, confirmed the previous view of the basic psychological needs effect over intrinsic motivation development. The teachers ways of supporting autonomy, competence and relatedness, were in line with previous re-search. The results showed that teachers who had their own basic psychological needs met in work environments, also strengthened the students well-being and intrinsic motivation. In-teraction, student affection and their individual need acknowledgement, given choice op-tions, clear objectives and sufficient, good quality teaching and guidance, were, according to the research, key factors in students basic psychological need support.
