    Purpose. This is a systematic literature review of finnish literature covering student bullying of teachers. The aim of this study is to gather and summarize current information about explanations, consequences and coping with the bullying experience. The results will be compared with international literature of the phenomenon. Approach. The study was conducted as a systematic literature review. The data was collected from google scholar database and the search was supplemented by a reference search. The final data consisted of four articles covering the phenomenon. The data was analyzed by applying data-orient content analysis. Results and conclusions. Student bullying of teachers was explained in the data in terms of student, teacher, institution and authority and school related factors. Student bullying of teachers caused numerous negative consequences for teachers themselves and for their work as educators. The negative consequences were noted to be similar to consequences found in the international literature. Explanations in the Finnish literature differed from the international literature. Based on this study, finnish teachers had numerous means for coping with the bullying situations.
