    The thesis examines the supportive effects of project Dörren regarding migrants’ inclusion in the Finnish labour market. The purpose of the thesis is to examine how migrants that have participated in project Dörren view their possibilities of inclusion in the labour market, and if the participants see flaws in the project. The thesis focuses on how participants in the project Dörren view their possibilities to be included in the labour market with the support they can get from the project (what kind of support can the project provide?). Other research questions are the following: What expectations and perceptions does the participants (migrants) have of the working life in Finland? Are there flaws in the program according to the participants? If so, which flaws? The thesis’ empirical material consists of ten qualitative interviews. The respondents consist of five migrants that have participated in project Dörren during the period 1.6.2020-4.9.2020, two mentors and three employees within the project. The research material was analyzed through a qualitative content analysis. The thesis’ theoretical framework consists of critical social inclusion and social networks as a supportive resource in the inclusion process. Conclusions that have been drawn by the analysis shows that migrants saw both inclusive and exclusive factors that affected their possibilities of inclusion in the labour market. Perceptions of the working life in Finland that emerged was a deficient understanding of inclusion as a two-sided process. The migrants also experienced linguistic challenges, experienced social injustices and a need of social networks and Finnish work qualifications to be included in the working life. The project Dörren’s supportive effects were based on individual and branch specific support that paid regard to the dynamic inclusion process. The migrants could improve their possibilities of inclusion by expanding their professional network and improving their employability. They received new ideas and thoughts about their own possibilities on the labour market, developed competence on the labour market and in their own branch, got information about workplaces and/or experienced mental support and mutual recognition. Flaws in the project that emerged were among others a long waiting period for finding a mentor and high expectations regarding the project that don’t get fulfilled.
