    This qualitative case study analyzes artistic and practical subjects’ professionals’ viewpoints on children and youth marginalization prevention. This study aims to clarify the conceptions, experiences and possibilities professionals have in marginalization prevention. Youth marginalization is a nationwide and acknowledged issue, in which artistic and practical studies aims to provide a solution. The theoretical frame for this study includes terms such as marginalization, marginalization prevention and self-efficacy. The theory of this study includes artistic and practical education in formal and informal learning environments. This study aims to answer following research questions: What viewpoints artistic and practical subjects’ professionals’ have on marginalization prevention? What possibilities these professionals see in their work in marginalization prevention. The data was collected in half-structured thematic interviews. Four different artistic and practical study professionals were interviewed. The data was transcribed and analyzed with content analysis. In the analysis three major themes were found: practices, believes and experiences in marginalization prevention. Also, three themes and viewpoints were found on the data: viewpoint emphasizing youths’ possibilities and dreams, viewpoint emphasizing scientific approach and viewpoint emphasizing problematic issues. The study finds that very scientific, critical and professional artistic and practical studies professionals work on the field of youth marginalization prevention. Despite the problematic voices, all the professionals found trust and motivation to encourage youths’ dreams and supporting their success.
