The aim of this study is to research what kind of experiences in recognising and handling school bullying teacher students have received in masters´practice. Previous studies have shown that teachers and teacher students have difficulties in recognising and handling bul lying. According to previous research, school bullying as a theme is not sufficiently present in teacher students´ education. In addition, the research shows that teacher student training fails to sufficiently emphasize the practical aspects of teaching. This study was conducted by using a qualitative approach. Data collection was performed through semi structured theme interviews and the accumulated data analyzed via qualitative content analysis. Study participants consisted of eight University of Helsinki teacher stu dents that have completed their Masters practice. Interviews of participants were conducted during winter 2022. The results show that school bullying is not a constant theme in the master´s practice. However, most of the study participants had the opportunity to interact with school bullying on some level. According to the results the adviser teacher has a significant role on how the student gets to process school bullying. In addition, the results show that the students' own interest in the matter can also have an effect. Moreover, in the event of easily recognizable bullying in the classroom, the student gets to process school bullying to a more signifigant degree during the masters practice.
