    This bachelor's thesis deals with language stimulation in immersion preschools. The aim of this thesis was to find out what kind of language stimulation techniques immersion teachers use at immersion preschools and their view of themselves as a linguistic role model. This study was a qualitative study and the data was gathered through interviews and three immersion teachers from the capital region participated. The interviews were recorded using a tape recorder and afterwards the interviews were transcribed and analyzed. The result of this study was that the immersion teachers felt that they had a great responsibility as a language model for the children but there were varied opinions regarding consistently speaking the immersion language and the linguistic follow-ups. Small-group activity was the most significant language stimulation technique according to the immersion teachers.
