The purpose of this study was to find out what kind of views kindergarten teachers have on pedagogical leadership and how it has developed in their own work. The study also examined the type of support kindergarten teachers feel would be necessary for acting as the pegagogical leader in their work team. This study is a qualitative theme interview based on phenomenographic philosophy of science. The interviewees participating in this research were three kindergarten teachers with a university degree, who have been working as kindergarten teachers for more than five years. In the light of this study's data, it appears that kindergarten teachers act as the pedagogical leader in their work teams. This shows for example in the job description of teachers, which the interviewees also described. Pegagogy is highlighted in kindergarten teachers' work and it is present in all activities. Co-operative skills are included in pedagogical leadership as well. Two of the kindergarten teachers interviewed raised the turnover of team members and breaking up teams as a challenge, whereas the third interviewee felt that there are hardly any problems with pedagogigal leadership.
