The purpose of this thesis is to search what two physical education teachers feel their missions and roles to be in physically talented upper secondary school. In my research I find out teachers’ personal experiences and thoughts about their own mission as a physical education teacher. With the research, the aim is also to get answers how uppers secondary school of Mäkelänrinne’s curriculum has been for-med. The subjects of inspection are the objectives, contents and evaluation of phy-sical education from the teachers’ perspective. My research was a qualitative case study for which I interviewed two of upper sec-ondary school of Mäkelänrinne’s physical education teachers. One of the teachers was a woman and the other a man. Still the teachers teach mixed groups therefore the gender of the teachers wasn’t relevant in this research. The other one of the teachers does also sport training in addition to teaching. The interview was made half-structured theme interview. Both of the interviews were made separately. As a data analyzing method I used theoretical content analysis. The research revealed that physical education teachers experience their role im-portant. Especially from the education’s point of view. The meaning of physical education teacher was seeing more as a educational point of view that sport training. The meaning of physical education was seeing the producing of joy and well-being and the development of social skills. The construction of curriculum was in the line with state level curriculum. In the upper secondary school of Mäkelänrinne there were their own emphasizes as balance and mobility of body. The evaluation was felt hard because all students are gifted in sport.
