Tiivistelmä - Referat - Abstract The purpose of my research was to find out and describe what is the haste felt by kinder garten teachers like. In addition to this the goal of this research was to find out connections between haste, work welfare and being overwhelmed by ones burden of workload and to get practical solutions on how to lower workload by changing some parts of the work. My research questions were: 1. What causes haste at everyday situations in kinder garten according to kinder garten teachers? 2. According to kinder garten teachers how is the haste thay have felt connected to their workload? 3. How does the haste affect the work welfare of kinder garten teachers? 4. How to lower the burden of workload felt by kinder garten teachers? 4.1. How can kinder garten teachers themselves lower their workload? 4.2. How do kinder garten teachers think their superiors can lower their workload? With the help pf the research I try to get information on what different things in kinder garten causes haste. In addition to this my goal is to find out practical solutions on how to lower the workload by actions of kinder garten teachers and their superiors. Previous studies showa that kinder garten teachers feel busy and overwhelmed by their workload. My research was taken part by four kinder garten teachers from a town located in southern Finland. Interviewees were chosen at random. I used a theme interview as a basis for the interviews. After the interviews I transcribed the material word by word. I handled the material one question at a timeunderlining things that answered my research questions. The research shows that kinder garten teachers tend to think their work to be busy. Three kinder garten teachers felt busy at work and overwhelmed by their workload. Despite of this three kinder garten teachers felt that their work welfare was fine. As reasons for the haste the kinder garten teachers mentioned lack of employees and lack of planning time. the interviewees felt that haste was connected to the burden of the workload but was not the only thing that caused the workload to be overwhelming.
