The aim is to study how different leadership styles relates to work commitment and well-being. My study objects are thus concepts and theories. Based on the literature, my aim is to answer the following research question: how do work commitment and well-being appear in different leadership styles? This thesis is an integrated, descriptive literature study. I try to establish a broad overview of the theme based on different sources. I thematize my material based on my research question. I make delimitations in the form of excluding literature and theories that are not directly relevant to my question. I want to create a broad overview of leadership, well-being and work commitment. The result of my analysis is that the transformative leader has good conditions for work commitment, even though the style is sometimes difficult to interpret. The leader has a good starting point for well-being. Based on the literature, the transformative leader has the best conditions for wellbeing in working life. The transactional leader also has good conditions for work commitment but has more negative than positive aspects related to well-being. The charismatic leader is difficult to interpret in terms of work commitment but has good conditions for well-being. The let-go-leader has poor conditions for both well-being and work commitment and is the style that have the highest risk of not being well in work life.
