In today’s world the rapid development and highly connected global scale generate a lot of pressure for organizations to create new abilities to adapt and function in response to the modern demands in a sustainable and ecological manner. In the last few centuries there has emerged a great amount of creative and adaptive models of organizational design but the systemic complexity in the world remains often overwhelming for most of the people. The lack of consciousness and cognitive abilities is crucial in the change and functioning of the newly emerged post-bureaucratic organizations which creates the main research problem for this study. The narrative form of literature review is adopted as a methodological tool in order to explicate this need for inner development in organizations. As a material for lit-erature review, I have used the model of Teal Organizations and its background of diverse developmental research from which I delineate four principles of growth: holarchy, inte-gration of previous stages, subject-object-balance and increase in perspective. These four perspectives are then applied to the three dimension of Teal Organization (self-management, wholeness and evolutive purpose) which demonstrates the significance of the transformation in the inner structures that create meaning out of the world and self when an organization is aiming to actualize as a Teal Organization. These results verify the connec-tion between the growth of organization and individual and the relevance of inner devel-opment in the change towards the “new wave” of organizing.
