    The growing number of student with special needs has raised conserns about what is the best way to support them. This literature review gives you a closer look at co-teaching and how it can be implemented in different ways. In addition I`m intrested in looking at what are the pros and cons of co-teaching. Interest on co-teaching has increased in recent years, but there is not much research on the subject yet. The materials viewed in this literature review are international and national scientific research reports and articles. Most of the research conducted in relation to this subject has been made by interviewing teachers. Although interest in co-teaching has increased, this form of teaching has not been used much in schools yet. My literature review shows that co-teaching is seen as a rather positive form of teaching. It improves the wellbeing of teachers, when they can share responsibility with another teacher. In addition, students receive more support and assistance for their individual needs. Also the participation of students with special needs has improved. The biggest challenges of co-teaching are in finding time for co-planning and the lack of administrative support. In order to make more general conclusions, we should make more research about co-teaching.
