Aim. The purpose of this paper was to examine the substance parental cooperation and examine what the best possible way is to create a cooperation between educators and guardians. In this study, I wanted to find out which views educators have on the contact and cooperation between the guardians and educators and what experience they have and can share on cooperation between guardians and educators. Method. In this qualitative study, interviews with four educators have been used as a method. In this survey, the sample group consisted of four educators, two from Finland and two from Sweden. The sample group from Sweden consisted of a kindergarten teacher who works with children in the ages 3-5year and an educator who works in a fourth grade class. The sample group from Finland consisted of a kindergarten teacher who works with children in ages 1-3year and a kindergarten teacher who works in a preschool class. Interviews were conducted via e-mail. Results and conclusions. This study revealed that collaboration between educators and guardians both in kindergartens and schools is an important part of the working to create a good and rewarding learning environment for children and students. The results also showed that it has an impact on how comfortable children feel in kindergartens and performs in school depending on how guardians and educators cooperation works. Furthermore, my research showed that both educators and guardians must be involved in cooperation in order to be able to build up a working relationship. It has been interesting to take part of educator’s thoughts about parental cooperation and I will be able to use this knowledge in the future.
