  • Yhdessä vai yksin? : asiaa yhteisopetuksesta

    The growing number of student with special needs has raised conserns about what is the best way to support them. This literature review gives you a closer look at co-teaching and how it can be implemented in different ways. In addition I`m intrested in looking at what are the pros and cons of co-teaching. Interest on co-teaching has increased in recent years, but there is not much research on the subject yet. The materials viewed in this literature review are international and national scientific research reports and articles. Most of the research conducted in relation to this subject has been made by interviewing teachers. Although interest in co-teaching has increased, this form of teaching has not been used much in schools yet. My literature review shows that co-teaching is seen as a rather positive form of teaching. It improves the wellbeing of teachers, when they can share responsibility with another teacher. In addition, students receive more support and assistance for their individual needs. Also the participation of students with special needs has improved. The biggest challenges of co-teaching are in finding time for co-planning and the lack of administrative support. In order to make more general conclusions, we should make more research about co-teaching.
  • Yhteisopettajuutta edistävät tekijät : Yhteisopetuksen hyödyt

    Tämän tutkielman tavoitteena oli selvittää aikaisemman tutkimuksen pohjalta, mitkä tekijät edistävät myönteisesti yhteisopettajuuden toimintaa ja mitä hyötyjä yhteisopetuksesta seuraa. Tutkielmassani määritellään yhteisopettajuus ja yhteisopetus, joka on hyvin ajankohtaisesti merkittävä teema. Tutki- muskysymykset muodostuivat tutkimuksen tarkoituksen ja oman mielenkiinnon myötä. Yhteisopetta- juuden hyötyjä on tärkeä tarkastella, koska yhteisopetuksella pystytään vastaamaan moneen koulu- maailman haasteeseen. Aikaisempaa tutkimusta on tehty jo huomattavasti eri näkökulmista. Tutkielma toteutettiin kuvailevana kirjallisuuskatsauksena. Aineisto koostui suomalaisesta sekä kan- sainvälisestä kirjallisuudesta ja tutkimuksesta. Aineistoni on pääosin haettu hyödyntäen Google Scholaria sekä Googlea. Opettamisenkulttuuri yksin tekemisestä on muovautumassa yhdessä tekemiseen. Tutkimuskirjallisuu- den perusteella on selkeitä tekijöitä, jotka edistävät yhteisopettajuuden toimintaa sekä yhteisopetuk- sesta seurauksena syntyviä hyötyjä. Yhteisopettajuus on moniulotteista yhteistyötä, jonka sujuvuu- teen vaikuttavat erityisesti jaettu päämäärä, vuorovaikutus ja jokaisen opettajan toimijuuden toteutu- minen. Yhteisopetuksen hyötyjä oli työhyvinvoinninkasvu, eriyttämisen monet mahdollisuudet ja ammatillinen kehittyminen. Hyödyt syntyvät, kun yhteisopettajuuteen ollaan sitoutuneita ja luotetaan toisen ammattitaitoon.
  • Yhteisopetus : seikkailu jaettuun opettajuuteen

    This Bachelor's Thesis examines co-teaching, its history and its position in modern society, as well as its preconditions and forms. The study also deals with the importance of an inclusive school and the contribution of three level support in joint education. In the thesis, co-teaching is defined as a method where two teachers work together on a heterogeneous group of students. The aim of the study was to describe co-teaching and previously written research literature. The study is a qualitative, descriptive literature review. Literature related to co-teaching, joint school and learning support was being used as source literature. There are several forms and models of co-teaching. Their purpose is to find such co-teaching practices that support teachers’ teaching together and satisfy the pupils’ support needs. Co-teaching creates an opportunity to execute the inclusion that exists in the society. With the help of three level support, co-teaching brings resources of special education to all pupils. The most important benefits of co-teaching for the teacher are opportunities for professional growth, peer learning and peer support, and versatile working methods. For pupil’s co-teaching can offer more time and attention from the teachers. Based on the research literature, the most important challenges of co-teaching were the timetable problems and the fear of criticism.
