The aim of this study regard to understand the action of eating disorder. Esting disorder is a mental illness. Eating disorder has been studied in several disciplines and from many perspectives, but in the field of home economic science it is a new research theme. According to a previous study, the function of aeting disorder for the illness was management of life, emotional and apply for attention and approval. The significance of the illness for the ill person him/herself was based on the management of the life. This study is based on everyday management model (Haverinen 1996). The study is based on a poetry book Siskonmakkarat -miltä syömishäiriö tuntuu? The research met-hod was a qualitative content-basec analysis. The purpose of the study is to look at the purpose of eating disorder from the point of view of eve-ryday management and to find out what means of eating disorders is to achieve its aim. Recearch questions: 1. What is the purpose of eating disorders function in the model of everyday management? 2. How does an eating disorder reach his/hera im? As a result of the study can fins a reference that eating disorder tried to improve his/her everyday life. Eating disorder has a great need for a change of self management and everyday llife. Aim pur-pose of eating disorder was the mastery of everyday life.
