In this research, I studied what goals young adults have and what they interpreted was a reason for their failures in past. I interviewed four young adults who told about their goals. Research questions were, what goals young adults have and, how they explain their failures. The material from interviews was analyzed with a content analysis method. Young adults, who worked as knowledge workers, goals had six categories. Categories were, own career, education, financial security, maintain close relationships, to fulfill oneself and health. Young adults interpreted lack of ability and uncontrollable factors to cause failures. Flexible and variables reasons were interpreted to cause failures. In this research, I was interested about young adults, whom work as knowledge workers. Age, socio-economical background and educational level might alter the results.
